What I really loved about this news article was the graph on gas prices. Compared to the rest of the world, we are paying a fraction of the gas price, and yet we squeal every summer. Do you think better roads would make a shorter commute? If it did, would you feel anyt better about gas prices?
A second question...if the government swore it would make 820 better, would you believe them and give them the money?
My thought has always been actions speak louder than words. TexDot has been promising to make 820 better since the mid 1980's, and wow, it is the same now as it was then. So, no I do not think we should throw more money at them to fix something they should have fixed decades ago. They just need to do it.
